146. OFFICE BATHROOM!!

Arrived in LA on Wednesday to find that my bedroom was just a tad bit smaller than Bree's and Tatenda's... (and by 'a tad' i mean significantly). I was a little bummed cuz it didn't look like I'd have enough room to put furniture and whatnot... i.e. a double bed, a dresser, a desk, my keyboard & guitars etc. BUT, my bedroom did have it's own bathroom attached to it.

I was vid-chatting with Tom Lord the day I got out here and we were talking about what we could do with my room to make more space. One of the ideas was to loft the bed and put a dresser and/or desk underneath, but I had never heard of a lofted double bed and I didn't really want to have to climb into bed every night. I asked him if he could only have one of the two in his room, would he prefer a desk or a dresser. He said dresser. So we started debating alternate ways to incorporate a desk into my living space... and then it hit us.

What if I could somehow turn my bathroom... into an OFFICE! .......and the idea for the Office Bathroom was born.

Matt flew in from Oregon on Thursday evening, and first thing on Friday we got to work taking a brilliant idea.. and turning it into the best invention in the history of the world.

I give you the Office Bathroom:

When not in use, the Office Bathroom desk folds up against the wall, so as to not get in the way. It is held in place by a simple hook.

But THEN... with one swift motion... the Office Bathroom desk folds down into position.

I know... stunning isn't it.

Both the desk itself and the leg are attached with hinges to allow them to fold down into position seamlessly.

Here's a pic of me using my new Office Bathroom for the first time:

...and lets be honest, where else do you do your best thinking than on the toilet. Can't wait to come up with even more completely AWESOME ideas while using my Office Bathroom.

Tom and I were already tossing around some more ideas as to how to make the Office Bathroom EVEN better. If anyone thinks of anything that could take this room to a whole 'nother level... send them along and I'll see if I can make it happen.
